Florida landscape & the everyday.

The work is rooted in Florida — its light, its waterways, its small moments of stillness in a state that mostly performs rather than rests. Gail Osborne paints the everyday: a stretch of inlet, a flock of pelicans, a garden in late afternoon. The subjects appear ordinary; the attention given to them is not. What emerges on the canvas is the place looked at long enough to start showing itself.

Each painting is a one-of-a-kind original; there are no editions, no prints. The studio is in Jupiter, and works are shown at private viewings throughout South Florida. Inquiries — about specific paintings, commissions, or visits to the studio — are welcomed by phone or email.
